No doubt race had a role to play in how the capital rioters where treated by police. But it wasn’t the only thing.

The white rioters at the Capital building are politically aligned with the interests of the police. The police are disproportionately also Trump supporters. They are sympathetic.

If you were old enough, you might remember seeing police brutalise white hippies during the Vietnam war, while supporting white pro-war protestors.

You are over-simplifying if you look at this as just a black vs white problem.
