Imagine a language where everyone, regardless of gender, used the same pronouns. Wouldn’t that solve a lot of problems?

How about instead of moving English towards using a plural pronoun in the case of a definite singular person, we just all use “it” — for everyone. Or, if you prefer, we can use a new pronoun for person that is not gender-specific.
