Jayne, can you explain why you say there is “no such thing as cis”. I’ve heard some people are offended by this term, but you are the first person I have encountered who actually is. The term “cis” is just a person who is not trans. In other words, a person who is fine with the gender assigned at birth. It has the same meaning as saying “a not trans person”. Would you be offended if I referred to you as “a women who is not trans”? I assume you would acknowledge that some people are trans, so cis just means everyone else. Let’s leave aside whether you think trans women are real women, but certainly, there are such people referred to as trans women. Not trans? Then cis? Where is the offense? “Cis women” is a lot easier to say that “women who are not trans”.
