That’s a good question. It is not that you have dysphoria and this makes you want to be another gender. It is that you feel you are a different gender and this causes dysphoria: a state of unease or generalized dissatisfaction with life. Say you spin around and get dizzy. Your state is dizzy, but it is caused by spinning around. In this case, spinning around is not having the right body type for your gender or “transgender”. Transgender can express itself as dysphoria. Some transgender people do not have dysphoria. They just see their condition as a biological condition, like being born with six fingers on one hand.
