You must have moved to the US from China very young. What you are describing happens everywhere. It is not a US phenomenon. Anywhere you find a dominant ethnic group or race, there is othering. I am white and live in Asia. The othering I get is probably more than what you experience but I don’t let it bother me. At least you could become a citizen. I’d like to see a white guy try that in China.
